I don’t think I had ever related so much to a small piece of text in my life. I found school uninspiring and dull, and this was my escape (much to my parents displeasure at the size of their phone bill). It introduced me to a whole community that was both engaging and informative..and publications such as 2600… it opened my eyes to how I could communicate with the world for the cost of a local phone call (using FidoNet).

I could waffle on for hours about this.. but I won’t… I just wonder how many people who laughed at me when I started using ‘The Internet’ remember doing so.. as they check their FB page…
