Hi Alex,

Thanks very much for all your help.

The link you sent doesn’t help I’m afraid. Little surprised there is no payment plan functionality or anything similar.

Hi Sam.

At the moment, there aren’t any definitive plans to increase decimal point rounding. But it is something we are looking into.

Also, you can find more about part payments on invoices here http://www.kashflow.com/akademy/kb/show-part-payments-on-invoices/

All the best

Support ticket #116656

Do you have plans to increase decimal point rounding? Although, fraction quantities isn’t ideal from a customer facing perspective.

Do you have any advice regarding taking (automated?) monthly payments against one invoice, i.e. payment plan?

Thanks

Hi again Sam. I assume the issue is down the decimal place rounding, which is restricted to two decimal places in KashFlow http://www.kashflow.com/akademy/kb/decimal-places-rounding/. Do you have the support ticket number for us to follow up on?

Hi Alex, that’s what I did initially. Got the following reply from Chris Want:
“Thanks for your email. This is not currently possible I am afraid. I do however feel it’s a good idea. Can I kindly ask that you add it as a suggestion below?” (links to suggestion centre)

Someone please advise!

collect (GoCardless) monthly payments against one invoice?

We would setup reoccurring invoices and automate this way
but then we cannot track quantity sold per product/sales code; breaking our
reporting.

We attempted to use “0.08333” as quantity to add up to “1”
(product sold) over 12 reoccurring instalments but the maths couldn’t add up
due to restricted decimal points.

Hi James,

It shows as “GoCardless” or similar. They’re working on getting it so you can have your own name appear

Has there been any p[rogress as far as using a flag in the API to denote Go Cardless payments?

VosTel would love to use this but we need to identify who is Go Cardless, without the flags we cant utilise this BRILLIANT utility.

Thanks Brad

No – you don’t have to use this for all customers. Just those you want to.
The best way to ask us questions is to email support@kashflow.com – there’s always a possibility comments posted to the blog could get missed.

Yes, it is. In terms of setting up the limit, I’d guess your monthly limit needs to be the amount you’d collect annually as it’s the max you can collect in any given month. Check with help@gocardless.com though

To get the bank details, your customer would need to supply them,

Will that be an extension to the current API or a replacement for it?

I’ve got quite a lot invested in the current API so if I need to rewrite my code – which is used by many others – I’d like to be able to plan for the need.

Eventually, yes. We’re currently building a REST API that will expose *everything* the app can do. It’ll have to as the apps only way to talk to the system will be via the API.

AS you can imagine, it’s a big job so it’ll be a little while before anything is publicly available.
