A few weeks after we bought the software we changed our name- it was the same company, same directors, same VAT no – we just added 3 letters to the name. Sage decided that this was a different company and that , therefore, we had no right to use the software unless we purchased it all again in full (many thousands of pounds). The worst of it was that the software didnt even work properly, and even if we paid the money they wanted, it still would not have worked properly! Our accountant had all his clients on Sage, but we refused to pay them any more money and switched to Kashflow for our accounts which is much easier to use and even the accountant has admitted that it is much easier.
