The goverment should be looking at grass root level and helping small business. The banks are not !

its essential that the goverment raises the VAT threshold to save shruggling small bussinesses ,and give them afighting chance.

According to the Telegraph my April Fool reference to a supposed Budget leak re an increase in the VAT regn threshold to £100k has led to calls for a real increase to that figure.

I’m doubtful myself, but let’s wait and see. There was also an epetition at 10 Downing Street with the same objective earlier this year.

This would be a good step for GB and chums to take towards helping small businesses.

Ultimately, “enterprise” (and I don’t mean the starship) is a vital component of a healthy economy – particularly smaller traders (startups, entrepreneurs and the like) – and they pretty much take a battering under the tax regime in the UK.

Not a great situation!
