Obviously it is only the successful ones that then get to use their stability to attract new custom. If everyone had followed the guidance at the start, there would be no new successful companies. Only MegaCorps that pretend to listen to their clients, but rarely do. (No names, but then again they quite rightly get bashed enough that it is probably self evident!!)

We’ve been around for nearly 6 years and still struggle to get custom as people think we are a new and untested business. How many years trading does it take to create an impression of stability?

I was looking at KashFlow after realising that MYOB data file in UK become unusable at end 2011. (I’ve been using MYOB for > 10 years and have a permanent licence so not pleased at all). I had some key requirements when looking around which KashFlow seemed to support but I was also worried about my data: passing accounts data to another provider; another format gave me pause for thought – however backups are provided in a format format that can either be opened in Excel or imported into Sage 50 which helped give me confidence to go ahead.
