Lets face it, teenagers love customising pages as much or more than business owners!

@Jason – I think you’re right, and verified business accounts, et al is going to be a big part of their strategy. Micropayments would be an interesting twist. There are lots of options from the “corporate” angle – but many of them already exist on the net (e.g. reviews and ratings, etc) – and some are best suited to 3rd party apps (e.g. MrTweet).

Or possibly, they’ll get swallowed whole by one of the ‘bigger’ players in the market, and slowly slip down the slippery slope into oblivion. It seems unlikely right now, but you never know!

This will give businesses the position of being a ‘partner’ within twitter and may open up other options such as micro payments (similar to paypal) through twitter too.

The verified account logo appears on your business profile and automatically gives extra credibility to what you are doing, so you are seen as a trusted business.

But then if they do this, the question is what is to stop 1000 mlm and suchlike schemes (that are clearly not that trusted) getting an account too?
