Praise where praise is due – even for the government!
It’s the end of the last working day before the deadline to submit tax returns online using the HMRC website.
Normally at this time of year we’d be hearing lots of stories about how the site has fallen over.
But not a whisper. HMRC seem to have learnt the lessons from previous years and were able to deal with the load. Or it could just be that most self-employed people in the UK now use KashFlow and were so organised they go it in early? Perhaps not.
Accountants even had time to post on UKBF that they were impressed the service didn’t fall over. But considering most of the accountants on UKBF are members of our Partner Programme, I shouldn’t be too surprised. They probably really did get their clients all sorted months ago.
It seems the problems this year aren’t technology related, they’re cash related.
